Sans Serif: Sipora Ultra [STD] [PRO]

Sipora Ultra 95

This sans serif type family of six weights plus matching italics was designed by Ingo Preuss in 2016.

At text size, Sipora Family is a classic grotesque, distinguished by its semi-condensed proportionsespecially in the capitals, which harmonize well with the lining figures and an exceptional clarity in certain high-resolution media, such as offset printing, achieved by micro-detailing.

At display size, the detailing provides the otherwise austere forms of the neo-grotesque with a subtle wealth of visual interest.

[...] Because what is bad typography? The appeal of the new, the fashionable, the excitement of attention through shocks, provocation and the unfamiliar should not be underestimated when one asks about the methods with which supersaturated people are to be seduced into reading.

But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure.
